South Central Pennsylvania Softball, Inc is happy to announce that we have worked with the York Revolution to make available indoor hitting/pitching lanes. The lanes are reserved and paid for online, however before doing so it is important that you read this in its entirety. Proceeding to scheduling the cage and paying the rental fee is an acknowledgment that you have read, understand and agree to the waiver of liability as contained below.
WAIVER: In consideration for being permitted to participate in any way in the use of the hitting cages in the home clubhouse of Peoples Bank Stadium in York, PA (the “Activity”), I, for myself, my heirs, personal representatives or assigns, do hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue, South Central Pennsylvania Softball, Inc, York Professional Baseball Club, LLC, High Five Baseball, LLC, Baseball Holdings, LLC and/or the York County Industrial Development Authority, any of the elected and/or appointed officials, commissioners, officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers from any of the above, and all claims, including negligence, resulting in personal injury, accidents or illnesses (including death), and property loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in or observation of the Activity, or use of the Activity’s facilities, premises or equipment.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I hereby acknowledge, understand, and agree that participation in the Activity has inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. This Activity may involve strenuous exertions of strength using various muscle groups, and/or may involve quick movements requiring speed and change of direction, and/or may involve sustained physical activity which places stress on the cardiovascular system. The risks vary and can include, but are not limited to: minor injuries such as scratches, bruises and sprains to severe injuries such as eye injury or loss of sight, joint or back injuries, heart attack, broken bones and concussions, or in extreme cases, paralysis and death. Furthermore, there may be other risks not known or not reasonably foreseeable at this time. Those risks may include, but are not limited to: inherent risks due to the nature of the activity; latent or apparent defects in conditions of equipment or property supplied by the participant, or other entity; acts or omissions; conditions of the facility and surrounding grounds or terrain and accidents connected with their use; first aid emergency treatment or other services.
I have read the previous paragraphs and I acknowledge, understand and agree that these and other risks, both known and unknown, are inherent in the Activity. I hereby assert that my participation is voluntary and that I knowingly and willingly assume all such risks and waive all claims arising from my participation in the activity.
HEAD COACHES/TEAM MANAGERS/GROUP ORGANIZERS: If you have minors in your organization who desire to participate in this activity, you must obtain authorization or consent from each minor’s Parent/Guardian before executing this rental on behalf of minor. A separate signature is required for each participating minor. THIS COMPLETED WAIVER MUST BE IN THE POSSESSION OF THE HEAD COACH/TEAM MANAGER DURING THE PERIOD OF THE ACTIVITY.
In advancing to the reservation system and making the reservation, you agree to be bound by the following rules:
A. The person reserving and paying for the cage use must be 18 years of age.
B. In the case of a team, the head coach/manager is responsible for the actions of his team.
C. All batting cage users must wear helmets and closed toe shoes.
D. No cleats or metal spikes are to used in the cage area.
E. No sunflower seeds and/or chewing gum allowed in the clubhouse.
F. York Revolution staff will be present and may stop any activity they deem not appropriate.
G. No food is allowed in the cage area.
H. The use of the installed, permanent pitching machine is not authorized.
I. Renters should not assume that there is equipment in place and bring their own T's, balls, etc.
J. ALL USERS USE THE FACILITY AT THEIR OWN RISK
There are 3 cages in the facility and each cage is rented by the hour. The rate is $20/cage/hour.
